Adam’s Eggs began when Adam was 9 years old. Following his Dad around on the farm every day he soon learned how important it was to nurture the land for healthy grass and animals.

Our Story

Adam would also spend time following other farmers on YouTube and was inspired by Daniel O’Brien talking about his Chicken Caravans. He soon learned everything he could from this and from watching Joel Salatin talking about healing the land.

Adam’s desire for running his own chicken venture never wavered over a whole year, so we knew we had to support such a passion. Of course his persuasive charms by telling us how all kids deserve to eat eggs without toxic chemicals and that actually taste yummy, started to take effect. Not to mention his thoughts on “How wonderful it would be for improving the soil Dad”

So what makes Adam’s eggs so special besides that the hens are loved and cared for by a boy with a big heart?

Every day the girls are moved onto new pasture following our big mob of organic grass fed Angus beef cattle that are also moved on to fresh grass every couple of days. This gives Adam’s hens a smorgasbord of fresh grass, bugs and most importantly a huge diversity of bacteria that keeps their gut health in perfect balance.

The feed provided for them is free from GMO’s and Soy. We don’t use any water soluble fertilisers or toxic chemicals on the farm.

Adam named the chooks’ guard dogs Shepherd, Napoleon & Drover. They live with the flock to keep them safe from Eagles. With no foxes on KI, the girls are not confined behind netting fences, giving them all the farm to roam and explore (Only 2 hens per hectare).

The private & cosy roll away nest boxes allow the eggs to stay perfectly clean. Giving you eggs how nature intended, unwashed; free from cleaning substances that absorb into a porous shell. Your eggs bloom (natural protection membrane) has been preserved so it can guard against pathogenic bacteria while also keeping your eggs fresh for longer.

With Mum & Dads’s help Adam has made his dream come true and supplies selected stores in Adelaide. More recently we also supply customers who wish to buy wholesale direct from us. Knowing who grows your food ensures you keep receiving the eggs you can trust and rely on.
